"Beats of the drum makes the land prosperous. Performing of Nagamandala makes the land prosperous". Coastal areas of Karnataka are the home grounds for cultural diversity. The people here have built their life upon devotion and faith.Udupi and South Canara districts are famously called as Tulunadu. Yakshagana, Bhutha kola, Aati kalenja and many other such folk dance forms still exist here. The folk art which developed along with Nagaradhane over the time is Nagamandala. The male who is symbolised by Naga is consoled by the female, represented by Naga Narthaka through music.Well organized stage setting, stage props, acting, music, dance gives Nagamandala a perfect touch of art form.
